About the BMW F22

The F22 was BMW's first 2 Series, sold 2014 through 2021 as a compact rear-drive coupe (with optional xDrive). Engines ran N20, N55, B58, and S55 for the F87 M2. Most chassis and electronics components are shared with F30 sedan — many F30 modules will work in F22 with VIN-specific coding.

F22 head units are NBT (2014–2016) and NBT EVO (2016+). HiFi standard or Harman Kardon (688) audio packages. M2 and M235i / M240i shared most non-drivetrain hardware with regular F22 trims, so when an M2-specific part isn't in stock, regular F22 hardware is usually a working substitute for interior, lighting, and electronics.

We list M-specific parts (S55 engine items, larger brakes, M-aerokit body panels, M-only interior trim) separately and flag them in the title.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about the BMW F22

Does the F22 share parts with F30?
Many — same E89 development era, similar electronics architecture, NBT head unit and most interior modules interchange. Body parts are F22-specific (compact 2-door coupe), but switchgear, displays, amplifiers, and most modules can be sourced from F30 donors when an F22 donor isn't available.
F87 M2 vs F22 235i — what's interchangeable?
Interior switchgear, infotainment, lighting, and basic chassis hardware interchange between M2 and 235i/M235i. M2-specific parts (S55 engine, larger brakes, M-aerokit body panels, M-only interior trim, M-DCT or specific manual gearbox parts) are not.
Do these parts fit BMW xDrive (AWD) models?
Most interior, infotainment, lighting, and bodywork parts are identical between RWD and xDrive variants of the same chassis. xDrive-specific differences are concentrated in the transmission tunnel, drivetrain, and ABS hardware. Listings explicitly call out drivetrain-specific fitment in the spec table.
How do I find my BMW chassis code?
Your chassis code is on the VIN plate inside the driver's door jamb, on the strut tower under the hood, and in your owner's manual under "Vehicle identification." It's a 3-character code like F30, E46, or G20 — the first letter is the platform generation and the digits are the body type. Searching by chassis is the single most reliable way to confirm BMW parts fitment.
What if the part doesn't fit my BMW?
Every listing ships with eBay's Money Back Guarantee. If a part arrives that doesn't match its stated fitment, you're covered by eBay for a full refund — return shipping included. Confirm your OEM part number against the listing before ordering to avoid the round trip.
